Family Bible Study at Winchester Grace is on Wednesday evenings and its when we meet together as a church family to practice studying the bible.  Sometimes we cover special topics of interest to us at Winchester Grace such as Missions, End times, or Discipleship and at other times we take some time to dig into a specific book of the Bible.

Please feel free to access the folders below and download the notes from our Family Bible Study sessions - use them to grow closer to the Lord and to bless others that you come into contact with.

Here are some great verses that encourage us to study the Bible and to apply it in our lives

  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17: This passage highlights that the Bible is inspired by God and is practical for all aspects of spiritual life, equipping believers for every good work.

  • Joshua 1:8: God instructs Joshua to keep this book of the Law always on his lips, meditating on it day and night to ensure success in all he does.

  • Psalm 119:105: This verse uses the metaphor of a lamp and a light to describe how God's word guides a believer's path and steps.

  • 1 Peter 2:1-2: Here, believers are encouraged to desire the "pure milk of the word" to grow in their salvation, similar to how newborn babes grow by nursing on milk.

  • Acts 17:11: The Bereans are commended for examining the Scriptures to see if the apostles' teachings were true, showing that studying and searching the Bible is a process that leads to spiritual understanding.

  • 2 Tim 2:15: The verse is about being a diligent and faithful worker for God and someone that accurately handles the word of truth. We can do this by studying it, memorizing it, and faithfully living it out in our lives.
